Cantraybridge

Meet the Cantraybridge Board of Directors

At Cantraybridge, strong governance underpins everything we do. Our Board of Directors provides the strategic leadership and oversight that ensures we remain a trusted learning centre for young people with learning disabilities across the Highlands. Guided by a clear vision of inclusion, independence, and opportunity, the Board works closely with our Chief Executive Officer, senior staff, and community partners to shape the future of Cantraybridge.

The Board’s role extends beyond compliance. In 2025, Cantraybridge submitted its Care Inspectorate registration, a milestone supported by the Board’s commitment to quality frameworks and transparent governance. Their oversight strengthens our systems, safeguards our sustainability, and ensures that every decision reflects our values of dignity, empowerment, and person‑centred learning.

Our directors also champion collaboration. From forging partnerships with organisations such as Home Energy Scotland and Inspiring Young Voices to supporting grant funding and sector advocacy, the Board helps position Cantraybridge as a national example of excellence. Their guidance ensures that our students benefit not only from hands‑on training in horticulture, animal care, creative arts, and hospitality, but also from opportunities that connect them to wider networks and real‑world experiences.

Above all, the Board of Directors is committed to amplifying student voice. By embedding feedback into governance processes and supporting initiatives like the Student Committee, they ensure that those we serve are active contributors to our journey.

Together, the Board and leadership team are shaping a bold path ahead — one rooted in clarity, inclusion, and the belief that every young person deserves the chance to thrive.
