Campus Life for Students at Cantraybridge

Campus life at Cantraybridge offers young people with learning disabilities a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment to grow, learn, and thrive. Whether you join as a day student or choose to live in Cantray Square, you will find a welcoming community where independence, confidence, and friendships are built every day.

Residential students live in modern houses with their own front doors, bedrooms, and shared living spaces. Each home is equipped with essentials such as furniture, washing machines, and internet access, alongside safety features like fire alarms and a two‑way call system. Independent Living Support Workers are on hand to help you learn practical skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and healthy living, while also encouraging you to take part in social activities, from cinema trips to football matches.

Learning at Cantraybridge is hands‑on and varied. You can choose to study horticulture, animal care, wood skills, creative arts, or café training.

Each department offers practical experience that builds teamwork, communication, and confidence. From growing vegetables and caring for animals to woodworking projects and creative design, you will gain skills that prepare you for volunteering, employment, or even starting your own business. The Clocktower Café also provides real‑world hospitality training while connecting students with the wider Highlands community.

Support is tailored to your needs through personal outcome plans and one‑to‑one guidance. Staff will help you set goals, explore new opportunities, and prepare for life after Cantraybridge. When it’s time to move on, you’ll receive transition support to ensure you feel confident and ready for the next stage of your journey.

At Cantraybridge, campus life is about more than learning skills. It’s about discovering yourself, building lasting friendships, and shaping a future filled with independence and possibility.
